The BlueAnt applications will not appear in the Google Play Store if your phone is running a version of the Android Operating System (OS) that has not been signed by Google. For example, if you have installed an unsigned pre-release version of the Android OS on your phone then the BlueAnt applications will not appear in the Google Play Store.
If you are unable to find the applications in the Google Play Store, you can download the applications direct from our website instead.

Each supported device has its own BlueAnt Android application. However, please ensure you only install one BlueAnt application on your Android device at any one time.
If you have previously installed one of the BlueAnt applications, please uninstall it from your phone before installing one of the other BlueAnt application. To remove an application from your Android device:
- On your phone, select Settings
- Select Applications
- Select Manage Applications
- Select the application you want to remove and click Uninstall
Once you have removed the existing application from your phone, you can download your new BlueAnt application from the Google Play Store.

No. Each BlueAnt Android Application has been designed to work with a specific BlueAnt device. Please ensure that you download the correct application for your BlueAnt device.
BlueAnt Android Applications are currently available for the COMMUTE, RIBBON, Q1/Q2, S4, SENSE (S3), Endure and T1. These applications do not work with the BlueAnt Z9i, V1, Supertooth 3 or S1 and we have no plans to release applications for these devices.
The BlueAnt Android Applications do not work with non-BlueAnt devices.

If the application is not reading your messages aloud then it is likely to be because the Android text-to-speech engine is not set up on your phone.
Please do the following to install a text-to-speech voice data pack on your phone:
- On your phone, select Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to Text-to-speech and click Install Voice Data.
- Follow the prompts to install the voice data pack on your phone.
If the Install Voice Data option is greyed out, then the data pack is already installed on your phone.
If you have tried this and the application still does not read text messages, check if you have the Advanced Task Killer application installed on your phone. This application is known to cause a conflict with the BlueAnt Android application. Please try removing Advanced Task Killer and power cycling your phone.
If this still does not resolve the issue please:
- Go to: Settings > Wireless and Networks > Bluetooth Settings.
- Press and hold on the BlueAnt device on the list and select Options.
- Ensure that the Media checkbox is ticked.

If you have a BlueAnt Q2, you can use the Q1 Android Application with your device.
This will provide you with text message readout on your Q2.
Please note that:
- Help and support information in this application applies to the Q1 only.
- You should ignore any messages about firmware updates being available, as these messages apply to the Q1 and not the Q2.
