In order for your computer to be compatible with the M1 Stereo Speaker, it must have either an internal Bluetooth adaptor or an external Bluetooth adaptor such as a USB dongle, an appropriate driver that supports A2DP. Check with either your computer manufacturer or the manufacturer of your Bluetooth adaptor to ensure you have the correct driver.
Alternatively, you can use the 3.5mm Stereo input on the back of the M1 Stereo Speakers to connect to the headphone socket of your computer, phone, or MP3 player.
The battery will last for about 1500 hrs on standby and much longer if the M1 is switched off in between uses.
The iPhone 3GS includes support for A2DP streaming as standard, and will therefore work with the BlueAnt M1.
If you are converting your own songs to MP3 from CDs, ensure you use high quality settings encoding the files at 192kbs or higher (or use a lossless setting if your software supports this option). While the resulting file size will be bigger, the quality and crispness of the music will be noticeably improved.
This advice only applies to a few mainly older Bluetooth-enabled phones. Most new phones have better security.
The Handsfree Profile is the one more commonly used to allow mobile phones to communicate with Bluetooth headsets and car kits. The Handsfree Profile provides the ability to carry out basic functions such as answering, rejecting and ending calls, and adjusting the call audio volume, as well as more advanced features like using the phone's voice dial functionality.
The Headset Profile is a more basic profile. It provides the ability to carry out basic functions such as answering, rejecting and ending calls, as well as adjusting the call audio volume.
Noise Interference can occur if the Bluetooth device is used in close proximity with a microwave. If you are experiencing problems with your BlueAnt device, check if there are any such devices in the surroundings, and if so keep the distance between the microwave and your BlueAnt device to at least 5 to 10 metres.
Any interference will usually only cause a slight crackling sound. The frequency of Bluetooth is much higher than that of radio station bands.
From off, hold the on/off button for 5 seconds until the light flashes red and blue.
The M1 Stereo Speakers sometime require a few seconds to establish a connection, so please be patient.
This issue can also be caused by a low battery, so you should charge your M1 Stereo Speakers and see if this resolves the problem.
Simply turn your phone off and remove the battery for a few seconds, then replace the battery and turn it back on again.
If this does not resolve the issue, delete the pairing information for your BlueAnt device and pair it with your phone again.
