How do I power on or off the X3D?

Turn the X3D on by pressing the power button for 1.5 seconds to power the X3D on or off.

How do I pair the X3D?

With the X3D powered on press the Bluetooth button, the X3D will announce “Bluetooth” and the light on the back will flash to signal the X3D is in pairing mode.

If this does not occur please press and hold the Bluetooth button on the back of the X3D for 1.5 seconds and the X3D will go into pairing mode. This will disconnect any connected phone.
The blue LED will flashing rapidly to let you know the X3D is ready to be paired..

On your phone or source device search for and select the BlueAnt X3D.

How long is the play time on the X3D?

The play time depends on the volume, type of music and distance from the source device but you should be able to get up to 15 hrs of play time.

How long does it take to charge the X3D?

To charge the X3D please use the supplied Fast Charger and Fast Charging Cable. When using these it will take about 2 hrs to charge the X3D.
For optimum charging please use the supplied charger.

What type of charging port does the X3D have?

The X3D has a USB C charging port.

How do I change the volume on the X3D?

  • Click or press and hold the + button to turn up the volume.
  • Click or press and hold the - button to turn down the volume.
  • Every time you turn on the X3D the volume defaults back to 25%.

How do I skip tracks on the X3D?

  • Double click the play button to skip forward a track.

Does the X3D have a microphone?

Yes, the X3D has a built-in microphone so you can take calls.

How do I answer and end or reject calls on the X3D?

  • Press the play button to answer a call.
  • Press the play button when on a call to end the call.
  • To reject a call either double click the play button or press and hold the play button for about 2 seconds when you have an incoming call.

What is DUO Mode?

DUO mode allows you to connect two X3D speakers or an X3D and an X3D Max speaker together for a wide stereo soundstage.

Duo mode only works when using Bluetooth as the source of the music.

How do I pair the X3D in DUO mode?

To connect two X3D together please follow these instructions:

  • Press and hold the power button on the one speaker to turn it on.
    Make sure it is not connected to any devices.
  • Press and hold the + and - buttons for about 1.5 seconds and the speaker will say "DUO mode pairing", then release the buttons.
  • Press and hold the power button on the second speaker to turn it on.
    Make sure it is not connected to any devices.
  • Press and hold the + and - buttons for about 1.5 seconds and the speaker will say "DUO mode pairing", then release the buttons.
  • Then wait for the speakers to connect.
    This may make take up to a minute the first time.
  • Once the speakers connect they will announce "DUO mode connected".
  • Now search for "BlueAnt X3D" or "BlueAnt X3D Max" on your phone to connect to the primary speaker, depending on which is your primary speaker.
  • The next time both speakers are powered on they will automatically connect to each other in Duo mode. They will continue to do so unless you disconnect Duo mode.

When in DUO mode:

  • the speaker volume is synchronized between the speakers.
  • either speaker can be used to control the music.
  • when you power off one speaker both will power off.
  • when powering speakers on, they power on independently
  • if a call comes in when in DUO mode the call will only be on the primary speaker.

How do I disconnect the X3D in DUO mode?

  • To disconnect two X3D or an X3D and an X3D max in DUO mode press and hold the + and -  buttons on the secondary speaker for 3 seconds.
  • The speaker will announce "DUO mode disconnected".
    The speaker will follow this with "DUO mode cleared".
  • The speakers will now no longer reconnect the next time they are both powered on.

    How many devices can the X3D connect to at the same time?

    The X3D connects to one source device at a time but can remember up to 8 phones.

    How do I disconnect my X3D to change source device?

    Press and hold the Bluetooth button for about 1.5 seconds and the X3D will announce “disconnected”, then connect your other device.

    What is the IP rating of the X3D?

    The X3D is IP67, waterproof.

    How many drivers does the X3D have?

    The X3D has two drivers and two passive radiators.

    How many Watts is the X3D?

    The X3D is 20 Watts.

    What Bluetooth version is the X3D?

    The X3D is Bluetooth version 5.3

    What is the range of the X3D?

    This depends on interference and the source device but it is possible to have up to a 30 metre range.

    Can I use my X3D with my computer or laptop?

    • To use the X3D via Bluetooth with your computer or laptop your computer must support A2DP for music playback.
    • To use the microphone on the speaker your computer must support HFP or HSP.
    • To check what is supported on your computer please check with your computer or laptop manufacturer.
    • Control of the music is done on your computer.
    • Volume on the speaker only controls the speaker and not the source volume.

    Do you need a driver to use the X3D on a computer?

    There is no driver required to use the X3D via Bluetooth on your computer.

    Can I use an AUX cable with the X3D?

    • The X3D supports 3.5mm stereo AUX input.
