FAQ
FAQ
Why open-ear instead of in-ear?
Awareness without isolation. Open-ear buds leave your ear canal free, so you hear traffic, the trail, a colleague, alongside your music. The right choice for runners, cyclists, commuters and anyone who can't afford to be sealed off.
Will they stay in during running?
Yes. Built-in stabilising hooks lock each bud against the ear through sprint sets, sideline sprints and switchbacks. IP56 rating handles sweat, dust and sudden downpours.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 8 hours per earbud on a single charge. 42 hours total with the charging case, a full week of training. USB-C rapid charge or Qi wireless pad: drop, charge, go.
Do they have noise cancellation?
No active noise cancellation. That's by design. Open X is built for awareness, not isolation. If you need ANC for commute or travel, see Pump X (35dB ANC over-ear) or Pump Air ANC 2.
Are they waterproof?
IP56: dust-protected and resistant to water jets. Safe for sweat, rain runs and the gym. Not designed for submersion.
How do the controls work?
Open X uses a physical button on each earbud, not touch or tap gestures.
- Single click, either bud: play / pause
- Double click right: next track · double click left: previous track
- Press and hold right: volume up · left: volume down
- Triple click: your device's voice assistant
On a call: single click answers, double click ends, press and hold for 3 seconds rejects.
What sound quality should I expect?
17mm × 12mm dynamic drivers tuned with DSP-enhanced full-range audio. Real bass at running pace, articulate vocals at windy seafronts, clean highs for podcasts. Bluetooth 6.0 keeps the link rock-solid even with the phone in the opposite pocket.
