How do I pair the X6?

Turn the X6 on by using the power switch at the back. This can be used in AC mode if plugged in and Battery mode if not plugged in.
The X6 will then power on and announce “Bluetooth” and the screen will show "BLUE" to show the X6 is in pairing mode. On your phone or source device search for and select the "BlueAnt X6".

How long is the play time on the X6?

  • The X6 has a play time of around 8 hours at 50% volume.
  • When used at 100% volume the play time is 4-5 hours.
  • To use the X6 at 100% volume for long periods, please use the supplied power cable.
  • Battery life will vary based on type of music, level of bass and environmental factors.
  • 3 battery bars - Battery fully charged.

How long does it take to charge the X6?

The X6 takes about 5-6 hrs to charge using the supplied rapid charger.

What do the 3 battery bars on the X6 display mean?

These show the battery level remaining in the X6, 33% charge per light.

How do I use the built-in Powerbank on my X6?

Simply plug USB your cable into the USB port on the top of your X6, then plug the other end into your phone.

The X6 provides a 5V1A output.

How do I change the volume on the X6?

Turn the volume dial on the top of the X6 clockwise to increase volume and anti-clockwise to reduce volume..

Every time you power on the X6 the volume defaults back to 25%.

How do I skip tracks on the X6?

Click the skip forward button to skip forward a track.

Click the skip backward button to skip backward a track.

What is the Bass Boost Button on the X6?

Increase the intensity of the Bass with the Bass Boost Button.

Simply press it to feel the bass.

Press the button again to return to Standard EQ.

Every time the X6 powers on it will default to Standard EQ.

How do I control the LEDs on the X6?

Simply press the LED button to switch between light modes, there are 15 modes plus off.
To turn off the LED press and hold the LED button for 3 seconds.
To turn the LED back on press and hold the LED button for 3 seconds again.

How many devices can the X6 connect to at the same time?

The X6 connects to one source device at a time.


How do I disconnect my X6 to change source device?

Press and hold the Mode button for 1.5 seconds and the X6 will announce “disconnected”, then you can connect your other device.

How do I use the X6 with an USB disk?

  • Put your music onto your USB disk and then insert the USB disk into the X6’s USB port.
  • Press the Mode button to change to USB input and the X6 will announce "USB playback".
  • The screen will display "USB".
  • The X6 supports FAT 32 format and the music files can be MP3, WAV, WMA or FLAC. USB disks upto 32GB are supported.
  • The X6 will remember which track was played last and start from there.

How do I use the USB loop mode?

  • When playing back music from a USB disk simply press the Loop button to play the current song continuously.
  • The screen will display ONE.
  • Press the Loop button again to exit looping that song.
  • The screen will display -ONE.

  • To Loop all songs press and hold the Loop button for three seconds.
  • This will repeat all songs on the USB disk.
  • This means playback will start from the first song again when it reaches the end of the last song.
  • The screen will display ALL.
  • To exit Loop All songs press and hold the Loop button for three seconds.
  • The screen will display -ALL.

How do I use the X6 with a Micro SD Card disk?

  • Put your music onto your Micro SD Card and then insert the card into the X6’s Micro SD Card port.
  • Press the Mode button to change to SD input and the X6 will announce "Micro SD card playback".
  • The screen will display "Card".
  • The X6 supports FAT 32 format and the music files can be MP3, WAV, WMA or FLAC. Micro SD cards upto 32GB are supported.
  • The X6 will remember which track was played last and start from there.

How do I use the Micro SD card loop mode?

  • Press the Mode button on the top to switch to AUX mode, the screen will display "LINE".
  • Please ensure you have plugged in the AUX cable.
  • When using AUX cable the speaker can only control the speaker volume and not the source volume or tracks.
  • Please ensure the volume is up on your source device.

    How do I change back to Bluetooth mode on the X6?

    Press the Mode button on the top of the X6 to switch back to Bluetooth mode.
    The screen will display "BLUE".

    What inputs does the X6 have?

    The X6 has a Microphone and a Guitar input.

    The Guitar input can be used as a second microphone input.

    How do you change the microphone volume on the X6?

    Please ensure the microphone is pointing away from the speaker to avoid feedback.

    Plug the microphone into the microphone port using the supplied cable.

    Once the microphone is plugged in and the microphone is switched on, press the microphone button on the X6 then turn the main speaker volume dial to adjust the microphone volume.

    When you have finished adjusting the microphone volume press and the microphone button again to revert to normal speaker volume controls.
    The microphone input supports echo, please see the instructions below for how to use the echo.

    To use a second microphone please se the guitar volume instructions below.

    To adjust the microphone volume again please follow these steps.

    The microphone has 16 volume steps and defaults to 20% volume each time the speaker powers on.

    How to change the echo on the microphone on the X6?

    To adjust the Echo on the microphone input please press and hold the microphone button for seconds. Then turn the main volume dial to adjust the echo level.

    When you have the Echo level you want press and hold the echo button again for three seconds to resume normal volume controls.

    There are 16 levels of Echo for the microphone on the X6.

    The Echo only works no the microphone input and not on the guitar input.

    How do you change the guitar volume on the X6?

    Please plug your guitar into the guitar port using your cable.

    Once the guitar is plugged in ensure its volume is turned up, press the guitar button on the X6 then turn the main speaker volume dial to adjust the guitar volume.

    When you have finished adjusting the guitar volume press and the guitar button again to revert to normal speaker volume controls.

    The guitar input can also be used as a second microphone input, please see the steps above for volume control.

    There is no echo function on the guitar input, even when being used as a second microphone input.

    To adjust the guitar volume again please follow these steps.


    The guitar has 16 volume steps and defaults to 20% volume each time the speaker powers on.

    How long are the microphone cables for the X6?

    The microphone cables are 3 metres long.

    What is Duo Mode?

    DUO mode allows you to connect two X6 speakers together for a wide stereo soundstage.

    How do I pair the X6 in DUO mode?

    To connect two X6 together please follow these instructions:

    • Power on the first speaker.
    • Press the DUO mode button. The speaker will announce "Duo mode pairing" and the screen will flash "DUO".
    • Power on the second speaker.
    • Press the DUO mode button. The speaker will announce "Duo mode pairing" and the screen will flash "DUO".
    • Please wait until one speaker says "DUO mode connected".
    • This may take up to one minute. The speakers are now connected to each other.
    • The word "DUO" will stay solid on the screen.

    When in DUO mode:

    • the speaker volume, Bass boost and track control are synchronized between the speakers
    • the speakers LED controls are independent for each other.
    • Microphone volume, guitar volume and echo controls are independent on each speaker.
    • Speakers power off independently.
    • When powering speakers on, they power on independently.

    How do I disconnect the X6 in DUO mode?

    • To disconnect two X6 in DUO mode press the DUO mode button on one of the speakers.
    • The speaker will announce "DUO mode disconnected".

    How do I get even more bass from the X6?

    If maximum bass is your thing, try these tips to speaker placement indoors.

    • When the X6 speaker is placed on the floor (assuming no walls close by), the floor reinforces the bass (+6dB)
    • When the X6 speaker is sitting on the floor near a wall, the floor and wall reinforces the bass (+12dB)
    • Putting the X6 in a corner give maximum bass reinforcement (+18dB)
    • Pair two X6 speakers together and place them in the corners of a room for out of this world bass.

    How big is the X6?

    How many drivers does the X6 have?

    The X6 has two Tweeters, two Woofers and a Bass Invertor.

    How many Watts is the X6?

    The X6 is 160 Watts.

    What Bluetooth version is the X6?

    The X6 is Bluetooth version 5.0.

    What is the range of the X6?

    This depends on interference and the source device but it is possible to have a 30 metre range.

    Can I use my X6 with my computer or laptop?

    • To use the X6 via Bluetooth with your computer or laptop your computer must support A2DP for music playback.
    • To check what is supported on your computer please check with your computer or laptop manufacturer.
    • When using your X6 via AUX cable only playback is supported.
    • Control of the music is done on your computer.
    • Volume on the speaker only controls the speaker and not the source volume.
